Details:

Position is for a full-time Client Service Representative (CSR), applicant should have a minimum of one year of veterinary reception/customer service representative experience. Customer Services Representatives (CSRs) provide the first and last impression of each client’s visit to our hospital. CSRs are responsible for client care and communication, and providing excellent client service at all times. CSRs perform clerical duties related to veterinary care and treatment, process invoices and payments, direct incoming phone calls, schedule appointments, and provide miscellaneous support to the veterinary team.

Duties will include, but are not limited to: Maintaining a professional, cheerful, and helpful attitude when interacting with clients. Answer/make phone calls, schedule appointments, check in/check out. Welcome clients and patients. Respond to emails/messages/etc. After training, exercise a technical knowledge of heartworm, flea, and parasite prevention products available. Prepare patient records, reminders, etc. Accurately accept payments for services. Assist team with keeping public areas clean and odor free.

Minimum Qualifications: Ideal candidate should have a minimum of one year of veterinary customer service representative experience, however for the right candidate this can be overlooked. Applicant MUST have personable and pleasant demeanor when speaking with clients. Applicant should demonstrate knowledge of general office practices and procedures, receptionist and telephone techniques. Perform clerical work with speed and accuracy, use a multiple line telephone system, handle cash and other forms of payment. Learn basic veterinary terminology. Communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner. Basic computer skills, including ability to learn veterinary management software (Mac OS experience preferred). Applicant should be able to lift up to 40 pounds without medical concern and be physically capable of working with large dogs & comfortable working with cats. Applicant will be required to adhere to our Low Stress Handling and Fear Free patient care techniques. Must be available to work weekend and holiday rotations.
