We are growing quickly and are looking for a Veterinary Technician!

Details:
– Position iis for a full-time veterinary technician, applicant must be an EXPERIENCED veterinary technician.
 

Duties will include, but are not limited to: assist doctor with procedures/exams/monitor anesthesia/etc, perform dental cleanings, obtain and run lab samples, place IV catheters, provide care for patients, administer injections, obtain samples/radiographs/patient history, communicate with clients regarding treatments/discharge instructions/patient care/clinical history/client education/etc. Any applicant who is not a CVT maintaining an active license in good standing will rotate patient care duties (cleaning kennels, feeding patients, etc). Employee will also be expected to maintain clean working conditions and occasionally answer phones, schedule appointments, etc.
– Applicant should be able to lift 40-50 pounds without medical concern and be physically capable of working with large dogs & comfortable working with cats.

Applicant will be required to adhere our Low Stress Handling and Fear Free patient care techniques.
– Must be available to work weekend and holiday rotations.

Minimum Qualifications: Applicant should be able to lift 40-50 pounds, stand/walk for 6+ hours without medical concern, and be physically capable of working with large dogs & comfortable working with cats. Previous experience performing technical skill is required and will be verified by previous work history and working interview. Basic computer skills, including ability to learn veterinary management software (Mac OS experience preferred). Applicant will be required to adhere to our Low Stress Handling and Fear Free patient care techniques. Must be available to work weekend and holiday rotations.

Lakeview Animal Hospital also offers a pet health credit for personal pets, fully stocked break room with snacks/drinks, and 1 hour lunch breaks for full shifts.
 
*All applications will be reviewed, only a select few will be called for an interview. After the interview process, select interviewees will also be invited to complete a paid scheduled working interview demonstrating skills. Not all interviewees will be invited to a working interview. Applications are kept on file for 6 months after submission. Salary is dependent upon experience.
